Sally White Audiology are a Manawatu owned and operated practice, offering audiology services and hearing-aid fitting for over 15 years. Our aim is to offer life-long hearing and communication solutions for individuals and their families.
We specialise in adult rehabilitation: not just finding out what type of hearing problem you have, but also what caused it and what you need to do about it.
Hearing-aid prescription
For most cases of permanent hearing loss that can't be fixed by surgery (or when surgery is not an option for you), we generally recommend a hearing aid. Our staff will be able offer you a number of solutions for your hearing problem. We are not affiliated with any hearing-aid manufacturer, so we are able to offer you independent advice on your hearing problem and your options.
Trials are available for all our hearing aids. Although there is a charge for our time and for the cost of impression-taking or making earmoulds, the money you pay for the hearing aid itself is completely refundable. You may also prefer to try other hearing aid(s) than the one you started out with: we will then simply bill or reimburse you for the price difference.

Free hearing-aid checkups
As part of our service, we offer our clients free checkups of our hearing-aids at regular intervals. A letter is sent out to you at the appropriate time.
Tinnitus
We are able to offer tinnitus retraining therapy and the fitting of tinnitus maskers.
Although tinnitus is a problem that cannot be "cured", there are good scientifically designed programs that will teach you to cope with and even overcome your problem. We are qualified to help.
Custom plugs
In addition to replacement earmoulds for behind the ear hearing aids we offer the following custom made products:
- Musicians' earplugs for even level sound reduction
- Swim plugs
- Communication plugs
- Custom-made noise reduction plugs
Please note custom plugs may take up to three weeks to manufacture.
